Ah the TX pro, a TRD with bilstien 5100's, fake beadlocks and ugly graphics.

Okay, okay. I get the dislike for the graphics and I also dislike the fact that Toyota tried to pass this off as more than just a tarted-up model they already sold, but the 'fake beadlock' hate is simply a product of poor marketing using the word beadlock in the first place.
These wheels have replaceable/removable rings on the rims. Call them rock rings, scuff rings, whatever, but they are functional in that respect. At least they are compared to just about every truck wheel in stock at your local wheel/tire store. Grind these against a rock or a concrete curb and you haven't gouged the lip of your wheel or ripped off your valve stem and deflated your tire. Take them off entirely if they're not needed of if the look is distasteful.

I see the value in that, but its pretty obvious that no one outside of 100 or so people know the difference and they think they are getting beadlocks.

I completely agree on that count. The mall crawlers love them much more than the purist crowd. Personally I like the bronze version, even with the 'bling ring' as it often called...
Here's one modified by OMF Performance to be a true, functional beadlock. Look them up if you haven't seen them before - http://www.omfperformance.com/beadlocked_whe…
